Children and families

State Library is committed to putting children first by working with diverse partners across the state to contribute to thriving, child friendly communities. Libraries are a place of connection and learning and provide rich opportunities for children, young people, their families, carers, and educators to explore, imagine, and understand the world around them.   

State library collects and preserves Queensland’s cultural memory and is committed to intentionally collecting, listening to and sharing children’s voices. We do this through a program of collection building and preservation, incorporating children's voices in our programs and exhibitions.
