National Simultaneous Storytime

Recommended for children aged 0 - 8.

Join millions around Australia for National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), a fun group reading event where we’ll read the same book at the same time in schools and libraries across the country.

This year we’re calling all junior truckers and feline friends to come and celebrate The Truck Cat written by Deborah Frenkel and illustrated by Danny Snell. Some cats are house cats, some are apartment cats, but Tinka is a truck cat. Polish your headlights, fluff your tails, and join in the fun with free cat face painting and some surprise special guests.

This event will take place on Stanley Place, in front of State Library.

Presented as part of Community storytime, a monthly program where we join special guests from across the community to share in tales that inspire, teach, and ignite our imaginations.
